Ok, so this post has nothing whatsoever to do with gardening – but I’m so impressed with modern art sculpture of the ‘Kelpies’ which is a mythical water horse – I just had to create this page so I could put my holiday snaps on it 🙂
These 30 metre high sculptures were designed by Andy Scott and commissioned by Falkirk council, they were completed in October 2013. Smaller representation (see the pictures below) were also created for promotional purposes.





The ‘Kelpie’ is a mythical shape-shifter often depicted as a water horse – made famous by the Tick Tock Tic Toc’ advert for Guiness a few years ago. More information on the Kelpies and the idea behing their construction can be found on the Wikipedia page
